Your next steps for Omnipod®
Your path to enjoying a simplified life with diabetes
Once you have learned about Omnipod 5 and decided it may be the right fit for you, follow the steps below to start your Omnipod journey
Why checking coverage is important
Starting insulin pump therapy requires support from your diabetes care team and investigation into your coverage for the associated costs, whether through a government funded public program or through your private insurance program.
Government, or public, funding for insulin pump technology is different in every province and territory, and each public coverage program has eligibility and approval steps that must be completed before ordering a pump. Private coverage for insulin pump technology varies and is specific to an individual employer plan.
Understanding your coverage eligibility, approval steps, and amount of coverage you can expect will help to plan your Omnipod access journey. It’s also important to remember that even without public or private coverage, a prescription is required for an insulin pump.
