The Omnipod® 5 App for iPhone is currently pending clearance by the FDA and we will share details on launch timing as soon as we are able. In the meantime, patients can control their Omnipod® 5 System with an Insulet provided Controller or a compatible Android smartphone.

The Omnipod® 5 App for iPhone is being tested for compatibility with a range of iPhone models that run iOS 16 and above. We expect more detailed information around this will be made available after FDA clearance is received.

At this time we do not anticipate that you will need to write a new prescription for patients to download the Omnipod® 5 App on the iPhone. We expect more detailed information around this will be made available after FDA clearance is received.

If patients are current Omnipod® 5 users they will be able to continue use of their Omnipod® 5 G6 Pods when the Omnipod® 5 App for iPhone becomes available.

Yes, they will re-start adaptivity when switching from the Omnipod® 5 Controller or compatible Android smartphone. We will provide additional details to support transitioning to the iPhone after FDA clearance is received.

Omnipod® 5 users who transition from an Android device or an Insulet provided Controller will notice that the user interface is different due to the differences in operating systems. The Omnipod® 5 App for iPhone will also offer a custom foods feature to save carbohydrate content about favorite foods, snacks or meals eaten frequently.

Yes, when the Omnipod® 5 App for iPhone is available in the Apple store, current Omnipod® 5 users will be able to download the App to their iPhone and control the Omnipod® 5 System.
