How to complete setup and schedule your training​

To begin setup and schedule training, visit omnipod.com/setup, select your country, and follow the steps below:

1. Scroll down and click ‘Go to Setup

2. Sign in or create your Omnipod ID account (Note: You will need your Omnipod ID and Password later to sign in to your Omnipod 5 Controller.)

3. Once signed in, select: ‘I Have New Product

4. Select ‘Omnipod 5

5. Search for your prescribing healthcare provider. This information may already be filled in

6. Answer a few questions about your current diabetes management

7. Select your training format (‘self-guided’ or ‘with a trainer’). The options available to you are based on your doctor’s recommendations:

  • Self-guided Training: If you’re currently using Omnipod + Dexcom G6, you may qualify for self-guided training (eLearning modules). Or, your healthcare provider’s office may prefer to train you. If you have questions, please contact their office directly.
  • Train with a Certified Pod Trainer: If self-guided training is not an option, select ‘Train with a Certified Pod Trainer’. Please note that you will still need to complete the eLearning modules before your appointment.

8. Link your Glooko® account. If you do not have one, you can create one during setup. Glooko allows you to:

  • See your glucose and insulin data 
  • Share your real-time data with your healthcare provider  

9. If prompted, enter your ProConnect Code. Reach out to your healthcare provider if you do not know their ProConnect Code.

10. Select ‘Return to Omnipod to finish your setup’.

 

After completing these steps, ALL users are advised to log into PodderCentral® (insuletid.com) to complete the Omnipod 5 eLearning Modules.

 

Note: If you've scheduled training with a Certified Omnipod Trainer or are being trained by your healthcare provider’s office, you should complete the eLearning Modules before your appointment. This is part of your mandatory training. Please also work with your doctor to get your pump settings before starting the Omnipod 5 System.

 

Do not change your settings without adequate training and guidance from your healthcare provider. Initiating and adjusting settings incorrectly can result in over-delivery or under-delivery of insulin, which could lead to hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia (low or high glucose). Always follow the advice of your healthcare provider and the User Guide provided with the Omnipod 5 System.
