Accessing insulin pump therapy in Australia can be challenging, particularly with warranty periods that are applicable when accessing an insulin pump through private health insurance*.
For people currently or considering accessing Omnipod DASH® via private health insurance, we have developed our OmnipodPromise, providing you with a pathway to the Omnipod® 5 System, once available.
How do I access the OmnipodPromise?
I am using Omnipod DASH today with private health insurance
If you are accessing Omnipod DASH today using your private health insurance to manage your type 1 diabetes, through the OmnipodPromise you may be able to access Omnipod 5, once available, within your warranty period. You will need a signed order form, letter of clinical need, training from your HCP and to pay a one-time fee of $249.
Participating in this program will not restart your warranty.
I want to use my Private Health Insurance to access Omnipod.
Through the OmnipodPromise, if you start on Omnipod DASH today with your private health insurance, or swap from Pay As You Pod to use your Private Health Insurance, you will be able to access Omnipod 5, once available, within your warranty period. You will need a signed order form, letter of clinical need, training from your HCP and pay a one-time fee of $249.

Can I access with Pay As You Pod?
If you are looking to access Omnipod Pods through the NDSS Pay as You Pod (Self Pay) pathway, you may be able to access Omnipod 5 once available by purchasing a no lock-in subscription payable to Omnipod Australia at a cost of $185.00/box of ten Pods (plus the usual NDSS copayment) to access the Omnipod 5 system, providing eligibility to NDSS subsidised Pods as a registered Omnipod user.
Your first order of $185.00 will include the Omnipod 5 Controller and a box of ten Pods to get you started. Follow-up no lock-in subscription payments of $185.00 (plus the usual NDSS copayment) are payable for each subsequent box of Pods.

Terms & Conditions
The Omnipod Promise is available to both new and existing Omnipod customers who access technology through their private health insurance policy. This program is designed to assist those people interested in accessing Omnipod DASH with their private health insurance today, with the option to access Omnipod 5 upon commercial availability in Australia, with support from their healthcare team.
Through this program, to be an eligible customer to access the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System, upon its commercial availability in Australia, you will need a signed order form, letter of clinical need, training from your HCP and to pay a one-time fee of $249. Upon payment of the one-time fee, the customer will be eligible to access an Omnipod 5 Starter Kit (Which does not include Omnipod 5 Pods) and be trained by their healthcare team.
Customer eligibility for the OmnipodPromise is subject to the following terms and conditions
1. The cost to access Omnipod 5 through the OmnipodPromise is $AU249.
2. To be eligible, the customer must be within warranty period on their current Omnipod DASH Insulin Management System.
3. The warranty period does not reset when you receive the new technology. The warranty period of the new insulin pump will remain the same as the warranty date of the initial pump purchased (for current customers).
4. The Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System cannot be returned for a refund.
5. You will not be asked to return your old Omnipod DASH insulin pump; however, by moving onto Omnipod 5 you acknowledge that you may keep your current insulin pump but that it is unsafe to pass it on to someone else.
6. That the Omnipod 5 Controller must be used with Omnipod 5 Pods. Omnipod DASH Pods may not be exchanged for Omnipod 5 Pods. Please monitor your existing supply before starting on the Omnipod 5 System.
7. The initial and ongoing cost of Pods is separate and not included in any part of this program.
8. All participants should consult their healthcare provider for all therapy related decisions.
9. The OmnipodPromise offer may not be combined with other offers provided by Insulet Australia.
10. This program does not include the acquisition of a compatible CGM system. A compatible CGM system is required to use the Omnipod 5 System in automated mode.
