What’s the secret to happiness? We know someone who knows! Tara and her incredible daughter Pip are on a mission to make you smile and see how beautiful our differences are.
After Tara received a Down syndrome diagnosis 3 days after giving birth to her daughter Pip, she will tell you she chose to grieve, then grow and blossom. With Pip’s many surgeries due to major eye & heart complications, and then a T1D diagnosis at the age of 3, life was certainly full of challenges but also joy that this wonderful family shared.
When Tara discovered the tubeless Omnipod® System life became a bit simpler. Tara worried less about injections and math and Pip could focus on dancing, singing, school life and just being Pip.
Since founding the non-profit organization ‘Happy Soul Project’, Tara has had huge impact in breaking down stigma, changing perspectives and encouraging the world to celebrate differences. We love the sass, sunshine, dance moves and positive energy you bring to so many lives Pip and Tara and we are so proud to have you as part of our Podder® family!
Pip would struggle at school because a nurse would only be assigned to come at lunch to give a needle. Because of the ease and simplicity of Omnipod®, we were able to relook and adjust her medical plan. The ability to navigate her care now has been life changing for us.
